Early Memory Care

An early diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease is beneficial both for people with the disease and their caregivers.  Studies show that the early identification and treatment of Alzheimer’s disease can slow the progression of the disease.  Being diagnosed early is vital to receiving the best help and care possible.

There are many benefits to early detection and diagnosis.  You can:

  • Get the maximum benefit from available treatments.  You can explore treatments that may provide some relief of symptoms and help you maintain a level of independence longer. You may also increase your chances of participating in clinical drug trials that help advance research.
  • Have more time to plan for the future.  A diagnosis of Alzheimer's allows you to take part in decisions about care, transportation, living options, financial and legal matters. You can also participate in building a care team and social support network.
  • Obtain help for yourself and your family.  Care and support services are available, making it easier to live the best life possible with Alzheimer’s or dementia.

The earlier you act the better.  Take action and talk with your doctor or health care provider.
